The Dubai Horse Racing Festival is one of the highlights of the horse racing calendar and the blue riband event of the entire extravaganza is the Dubai World Cup. In 2012 it was won by the Mahmood Al Zarooni-trained Monterosso who sprinted clear in the closing stages to land the Group One contest.
