The Dubai Duty Free Stakes is a part of the Asian Mile Challenge that consists of Four races in Dubai, Japan, Australia and Hong Kong. Any horse that wins two of these races will collect $1million bonus which means that the Duty Free will always attract some of the top 1 milers around.
The race itself takes place on Dubai World Cup night and has a huge purse of $5million dollars for the competitors which means along with the Dubai Sheema Classic it is the worlds richest turf race. The race gained Group 1 status in 2002 which was important for the organisers as it meant they would attract the top class horses. The Dubai Duty Free Betting for 2010 is looking exciting with Presvis the horse likely to go off as favourite. He has had a good season this year in Dubai and has to have chances, the same can be said of Imbongi who goes for Mike De Kock.
