Meydan Racecourse

Meydan RacecourseMeydan Racecourse is the brand new state of-the-art track that will host the Dubai Horse Racing Festival in 205 for the third time after it replaced the Nad Al Sheba in 2010 which played host to the Carnival since its inception. Meydan is more than just a racecourse, it is an entertainment complex with a Marina, apartments, a five star hotel and even an IMAX cinema. It will host its first Super Thursday meeting on March 3rd with the Dubai World Cup taking place at Meydan on the 28th March.

The word Meydan comes from the Arabic word meaning ' where, people congregate and race' which sums up this stunning complex perfectly. The Grandstand at the track will have a staggering capacity for 60,000 fans to watch the Dubai World Cup as well as undercover parking for 10,000 cars for fans from all over the world. The Meydan Marina will allow the more wealthy of fan to arrive next to the track by yacht and if they so please they will be able to watch the Racing without stepping onto dry land.
