There are certain trainers that have become synonymous with the Dubai Horse Racing Betting and the Dubai World Cup itself and punters are well advised to keep an eye out for these when making their bets. Saeed Bin Suroor

Saeed Bin SuroorSeed Bin Suroor is the head trainer for the Sheikh Mohammed Godolphin stable and he has been training winners for many years now. He is a UAE native and places particular importance on the Dubai Horse Racing Festival and in particular the big races including the Dubai World Cup. Suroor has trained a record five Dubai World Cup winners which is a great stat considering there has been only 14 runs in total with the first one coming in 1999 with Almutawakel. He followed that up with Dubai Millennium in 2000, Street Cry in 2002, Moon Ballad a year later and Electrocutionist being the last Bin Suroor winner in 2006. He is always dangerous in Dubai as many of his horses will specifically be aimed at the Dubai Racing Festival with it being his home meeting as well as his stables home track.

Mike De Kock

Mike De KockMike De Kock is the top South African Trainer who has a fantastic record in the Dubai Horse Racing Carnival in recent years with several winners coming out of his yard. De Kock went over to Dubai for the first time in 2003 and he saddled a fantastic seven winners from only 18 horses. This included Ipi Tombe winning the Dubai Duty Free on World Cup night and the UAE Derby with Victory Moon. He followed that up in 2004 with another 11 winners including the Dubai Duty Free once again with Right Approach. This success has meant that De Kock has set up a yard in Dubai specifically with the Dubai Horse Racing Carnival in mind so he is always a trainer to watch for punters.
